Swap out - Day 5

It is literally 80 degrees out! What happened to fall? Oh wait, I'm in Wisconsin.

Top: Thrifted, Jeans: Forever 21, Shoes: Crocs, Sunglasses: Target

If you are looking at my outfit today thinking, Hey! Those shoes and that shirt weren't in your 30x30 picks! then 10 points to Gryffindor, or whatever house you are in (personally, I am a Ravenclaw), because either you have been reading my blog since I started it, or you have just read my previous posts. Either way, I love you. You're wonderful!

Before you shake your head at me and assume I have completely failed at this challenge, hear me out. I clearly did not plan for Wisconsin weather. I didn't even have a pair of opened toed shoes or a pair of boots! I also picked a couple heavy sweaters that aren't good for layering, so I decided to swap some items out. I can do this because a) according to the 30x30 creator, Kendi, I'm supposed to make my own rules, and b) well, it's my blog. I'll do what I want!

But, just so this isn't a total cop-out, I have only swapped items that I haven't actually worn yet. Anything you've seen so far is here to stay. I decided that was fair enough.
Cassie found this awesome, old, teal house down the road from our apartment. I'm not really sure if anyone was home, but I snuck over so Cas could take a picture quick.
P.S. If you live here, my roommate and I love your house!!

My wrist today is dedicated to my mom. More bangles from Africa, her 80's necklace wrapped around a couple times, and her old watch. The turquoise ring was also actually her's too.

Oh and yes, you did read that right. My shoes were made by Croc. Awesome. Most comfortable wedges I own. I highly recommend them!

  1. One of my best friends is a designer for crocs. They definitely have some cute styles and are under rated!

  3. I was so going to bust you for having clothes outside your 30x30, but I guess your rules make sense! Glad to see my old things are being re-purposed!
