30x30 Day 1

Well, today is the first day of my 30x30. It's very exciting (a new challenge!) and scary (selecting an outfit each morning from only a handful of items...) at the same time. However, it's certainly too late to back out now! Here is my outfit:

Sweater: Secondhand from a friend, Tank: Wet Seal, Jeans: Forever 21, Shoes: Urban Outfitters, Necklace: thrifted,
Purse: Dooney & Burke bought off ebay, Scarf: Wal-Mart, Sunglasses: Target

This sweater was a super sweet catch. You know when you hear those thrifting stories when someone finds something super awesome or would be expensive or hard to find? Well, those never happen to me. Ever. I find cool things, don't get me wrong, but never anything spectacular.
Well, a friend of mine was having a rummage sale and we decided to go through each other's clothes first before selling them. One of her friend's had this sweater and I pulled it out and took it home, just thinking it was cute and good for fall.
Well today, Garrett brought to my attention that it is not only 50% lambswool, but it is also 40% angora. Supposedly rather expensive. By far my coolest "thrifting moment" to date.

Garrett is here for the weekend. We went for a stroll around Point, seeing as it is a beautiful fall day today! He also took my pictures today. He's so wonderful!

We also took pictures of ducks. Garrett likes ducks.

Garrett likes mallards because their heads are a really pretty green. I like mallards because they remind me of my favorite character on NCIS. To each their own I suppose. :)

  2. Oh nice! I managed to get my D&B purse on ebay for only $1.00. No joke. No else bid on it.
Oh! And Garrett is my boyfriend. I had mentioned him in my "about me" page.
